THE SIMPLE BASIC PROPOSITION FOR USING MAGNOM TECHNOLOGY,
To extend the life of your Systems & Equipment, Increase Productivity & Performance, Reduce Downtime – Reduce Maintenance Costs,
Essentially the proposition is thus…
- 95% of the products we make world wide are made from steel,
- Pretty much all of the attrition contact & working surfaces are steel,
- Steel contamination is generated during manufacture, (and can not be completely removed prior to delivery)
- Steel contamination is generated during ‘Break-in’
- Steel is generated during normal wear and tear, (general use),
- Steel contamination comes from very tough/hard surfaces,
- These surfaces don’t give up pieces of themselves easily… so the steel particulate is very small (typically sub 10 micron), and is very sharp & very hard indeed,
- Conventional filtration can not remove this steel particulate effectively (hence why we see magnetic drain plugs in just about every every fluid system).
- If conventional filters were viable… there would be no magnetic drain plugs used for the past 80 + years etc…
- Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and other soft sacrificial contamination is not generated by Aluminium & Bronze etc… it’s the Steel particulate that generates it!
- Fine conventional filters cause very significant pressure drop, are large, expensive and block & by-pass quickly!
- Conventional filters, can not be used Pre-Pump (Suction side),
So it makes complete sense to use a very clever magnetic device that is ultra effective and is…
- Non Restrictive to flow, even when full of contamination,
- Works to sub-micron levels, (100% efficient below 10 micron – single pass), see independent testing, https://magnom.com/testing/
- Is Bi-Directional, (unique for for hydrostatic systems),
- Does not block, even when full of contamination, (see PumpMate product line). https://magnom.com/magnom-products/pumpmate-range/
- And can hold 40 X the contamination of a conventional filter (size for size),
- Hence… MAGNOM!
Magnom makes a compelling case… especially when you consider that it has been used by JCB for 20 +years, and Volvo, Mercury etc etc… also used on Ferrari F1 cars from 2004… plus many – many others,
