Transmission: Summary
First fine filtering capability for systems with very viscous lubricating oils.
Notes

Gearbox transmission systems are widely used throughout industry, from the small systems used in cars to the colossal units in coal crushing plants.
Reduction of contamination, be it inbuilt, generated or ingressed is absolutely key to reducing the costs of gearbox system ownership!
A lot of large scale transmissions invariably use very viscous lubricating oils where fine levels of filtration have not previously been possible with traditional barrier filters, due to the massive pressure drop implications. MagnomTM does not suffer from pressure drop and is highly effective in removal of ferrous wear from the lubrication circuits and fluids up to 12,000 Cst viscosity.
Magnom units can be fitted inline, offline on a dialysis loop, or even on the suction side of a pump without risk of cavitation.
Transmission systems both large and small can benefit from the introduction of Magnom™ units on the lubricating circuit where Magnom™ removes ferrous contamination down to less than one micron in size.
The Magnom™ technology reduces the real overall cost of gearbox ownership by: -
- Reducing the rate of wear
- Minimise downtime due to system failure
- Increasing fluid and additive life
- Reducing disposal costs and requirements
