Marine environments can be some of the harshest environments on the planet.  As a result systems need to be ultra efficient and reliable.

Engine protection
Magnom™ has been used to help protect engines on marine vehicles by removing ferrous contamination from the lubrication circuit as well as fuel lines.  Magnom™ does not strip additives from fuels, unlike conventional paper filters.

Fuel storage tank protection
Magnom™ has been used to condition the fuel in large scale marine fuel storage systems.

Removing contamination (particularly ferrous) down to less than 1 micron reduces the rate at which the fuel degrades by removing many of the catalysts to oxidation.

Magnom™ also breaks up harmful bacteria which forms in diesel fuels. This bacteria is disrupted by the strong magnetic fields, and breaks down into smaller particles which can then easily pass through conventional filters and the injectors without risk of blocking which can lead to reduction in performance and reliability and even catastrophic failure.
