Ricomix Oy in Finland, who manufacture parts for Wartsilla Diesel, are currently using Magnom™ Clear 5 and Clear 10 units with great success filtering the cutting fluid in an Okuma CNC lathe.
The suppliers of the Clear 5 & Clear 10 units, Magnom’s™ Finnish distributor - Rotec Engineering Oy, were then approached to provide a filter solution for Ricomix’s Sunnen single stroke honing machine. The existing filtration employed was a standard paper cartridge system that needed replacing once a week, at a cost of €70.
Rotec Engineering presented the Magnom™ Clear 20 Unit as the ideal solution.
Since fitting the Magnom™ Clear 20 Unit on their honing machine, Ricomix have not had to replace their paper cartridge filter at all.
This combined with the Magnom’s™ large holding capacity, approx 4000g, means they now plan to do away with the standard filtration all together and purely use the Magnom™ Clear 20 Unit.
