A leading materials handling equipment company, design, engineer and manufacture a comprehensive range of lift trucks for a wide variety of markets within their plant in Northern Ireland.
With a constant focus on process improvement and cost reduction, the plant engineers looked at the high filter consumption levels on a specially adapted sealed Power Wash system. Step forward Magnom™ distributor Houghton Oils & Chemicals. The team at Houghton recognised the company’s problem as a perfect application for the patented Magnom™ technology.
To remove any ferrous contamination present from the chemical detergent wash process 2 Magnom™ Clear 10 Units were fitted in line.
The plant engineers were surprised at the level of ferrous contaminant that was removed by the Magnom™ Units and have been impressed by their continued performance.
They appreciate that not only is their process more efficient with higher cleanliness standards, but the systems most critical component, the pump, is also protected.
In addition to this the consumption of the standard filters has been halved. This has a real world cost saving to the business.
It is anticipated that in consumable filter media alone a saving of over £3000 per annum will be achieved, with the 2 Magnom™ Clear 10 Units paying for themselves in a very short period of time.
