dual magnom F1 coresCommon barrier filters will allow the oil to bypass the filter at a system pressure as low as 8psi. With the bypass open, the oil is not getting filtered and wash-off of previously trapped contaminants may occur. 

Magnom’s ™ patented filter technology utilizes magnetic field principles and is constructed with wide flow channels that allow fluid to flow through with virtually no pressure drop, even when full. As the oil flows through the core, both ferrous, and some non-ferrous contaminants are drawn into collection areas where they are held without obstructing fluid flow and without any risk of wash-off. The

Magnom™ design holds more contaminants than a typical barrier filter and traps particles as small as sub 1 micron.

In addition the magnetic field generated within the core will not strip out oil additives.

The Magnom™ core technology is simple in design and contains no moving parts.  It is a must for new engine break-in, or high performance motor applications. The core is easily cleaned and re-used. Installation is fool proof as the internal Magnom™ core can operate in either flow direction and on the suction side of the oil pump. The simple housing measures approximately four inches in length by two inches in diameter.
