1: First Licensing Deal
Magnom™ recently signed an agreement to license its patented technology to Burger & Brown Engineering in the USA. They will manufacture and market versions of the Magnom™ technology, under the name ‘Ferrogard Magnetic Water Filter’ within the Smartflow product family.
The Ferrogard is focused on the Water Ancillary Market of the Injection Molding Industry. The need for Magnom™ is apparent as molds often have small cooling circuits that are easily blocked by rust and other machine debris. Cooling lines incorporating bubblers and baffles are particularly susceptible to blockage from rust and corrosion traveling through the water lines.
A Ferrogard installed on the incoming water path will trap these metallic contaminants before they enter a mold, keeping the internal cooling passages clear during processing thereby extending the life of the mold and optimizing machine uptime.
